Description:
Working with the Governor of Anbar’s public information team and the Special Advisor to the Anbar Governor and under formal supervision of the UNDP Stabilization Advisor for the Anbar Governorate, the Communications Specialist designs, manages and facilitates the implementation of the Anbar Governorate’s communications strategies, with a view to influence the stabilization agenda, to promote public and media outreach and to mobilize public participation and support for the Government and UNDP activities.

Qualifications – Education, Experience and Language:
- Master's degree in media relations, journalism, publishing or related area of study. We will accept a bachelor’s degree with an additional two years of relevant experience as stated in the LTA;
- Five years of relevant experience at the national or international level in public relations, communications or advocacy.
- Experience using computers and office software packages, good knowledge and experience in handling of web-based management systems.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is "desirable";
- Effective writing skills; effective organizational skills; ability to work under pressure and demonstrates high tolerance for change, complexity and unpredictability.
- Assets: Prior exposure to UNDP programme and prior experience in the region /Irak
